Children’s Ministry  

Sunday School  

Our Children’s ministry is grounded in our Sunday School program.  We provide our children a safe and welcoming environment to encounter the love of God, especially as revealed in Jesus Christ.  We have classes for the following age groups:

  • Nursery – Birth through age 2
  • Preschool – Age 3 through kindergarten
  • Elementary – First grade through fifth grade
  • Confirmation – Sixth grade and up

Children In Mission

Our children are involved in mission projects throughout the year.  Here is a list of current activities.

  • The Elementary Class is collecting plastic grocery bags to cut up and turn into "yarn" to be weaved into sleeping mats for the homeless.  Please drop off your clean, plastic grocery bags in the Elementary classroom.
  • The Preschool Class did a joint project with the New Life Class during the summer of 2011.  The children help assemble sack lunches once a month for the homeless. 
  • The children collected canned goods for Vacation Bible School.  The food has been donated to a food pantry.

 

Confirmation  

A new Confirmation Class is underway for sixth to ninth graders.  We call our confirmation students Faith Travelers. The class is a nine month program that provides the Faith Travelers an opportunity to explore their faith in preparation for church membership.
