United Methodist Women
"Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." -- Proverbs 31:30

The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

We are divided into four smaller groups, or circles - Rebekah Circle meets each month at 7:00pm on the second Monday and Deborah Circle, at 7:00pm on the second Tuesday. Triune and Ruth are daytime circles meeting, respectively, at 10:00am on the second Tuesday and 10:30am on the third Wednesday.

Our goals this year are:

  • To continue to be a sustaining fellowship as we reach out to each other and those in need.
  • To develop and train leaders.
  • To expand education and programming.
  • To support our local unit and our church with our prayers, our gifts, and our attendance.
  • To grow spiritually by allowing God to work first in us, then with us, and ultimately through us.

We participate in a wide variety of activities throughout the year. These include volunteering at the Wesley Highland Manor, providing food for the United Methodist Neighborhood Center, and raising funds for global ministries.
